STAKTT Seller Policy

STAKTT is a curated marketplace where indie authors can sell their books and book-related merchandise directly to readers. By opening a shop on STAKTT, you agree to follow the policies outlined below.
1. Eligibility
- To open a shop on STAKTT, you must:
- Be the author or publisher of at least one self-published book. (Hold a valid ISBN for your book(s).)
- Be a creator of bookish merchandice
- Be a curator of bookish gifts ie. book boxes, blind date with a book.*
2. What You Can Sell
- Books you have self-published (print or digital).
- Book-related merchandise you have created or produced (e.g. signed editions, bookmarks, prints, bookplates, tote bags).
- Book bundles you have curated.
Staktt is a marketplace for self-published books and bookish products.
Individual book listings may only be for self-published titles where the seller holds the right to sell and distribute the book.
Traditionally published books may not be sold as standalone products.
Exception — Book Boxes:
Book box curators may include traditionally published books as part of a book box or curated bundle.However:
Traditionally published books must not be the focus of the listing
The book cannot be named, promoted, or marketed in the product title or tags
The value of the box must be based on the overall curation, not the included traditionally published title
All merchandise sold on Staktt must be the original work of the seller or legally licensed for commercial use.
Sellers may not upload or sell designs, artwork, or other content created by someone else without proper permission or license.
Products that infringe on copyright, trademarks, or intellectual property rights are strictly prohibited.
Any item found to violate this rule may result in:
A warning and request to remove or replace the product
Suspension of the seller account if the issue is not corrected
This ensures that Staktt remains a safe, creative, and trustworthy marketplace for independent artists, authors, and creators.
3. Your Responsibilities as a Shop Owner
- Stock & Shipping: You are responsible for managing your own inventory, fulfilling orders, and handling shipping to customers.
- Accuracy: Listings must include clear, accurate information about the product (title, edition, format, shipping times, etc.).
- Customer Service: You are expected to respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Compliance: You must comply with all applicable laws, including copyright and consumer protection laws.
4. Prohibited Content
You may not list or sell items that:
- Infringe on another person’s copyright, trademark, or intellectual property.
- Promote hate speech, violence, or illegal activity.
- Are unrelated to books or book merchandise.
5. Fees & Payments
- STAKTT charges 15%+$0.50 commission on each sale, plus (if applicable) payment processing fees.
- Payments to shop owners are processed through [PayPal/Bank Transfer] and may be subject to their fees and payout schedules.
6. Refunds & Disputes
- Refunds and returns are the responsibility of each shop owner.
- In cases of disputes, STAKTT may step in to mediate but final responsibility rests with the seller to resolve issues fairly.
7. Accountability
- STAKTT reserves the right to suspend or close shops that do not follow this policy.
- Repeated policy violations may result in permanent removal from the platform.
8. STAKTT’s Role
- STAKTT is a marketplace platform. We do not manufacture, ship, or guarantee items sold by shop owners.
- Our role is to provide a safe, fair, and supportive space for indie authors to connect with readers.
9. Policy Updates
STAKTT may update these policies at any time. Sellers will be notified of changes and are responsible for reviewing them regularly.

Welcome to STAKTT. These Terms of Service explain your rights and responsibilities when you use our platform to browse and purchase books and book-related merchandise. By using STAKTT, you agree to these Terms.
1. About STAKTT
- STAKTT is an online marketplace where indie authors sell their books and related merchandise directly to readers.
- STAKTT does not create, stock, or ship items. Each shop is responsible for its own listings, inventory, and fulfillment.
2. Your Account
- You may browse STAKTT without an account. To make a purchase, you may be asked to create one.
- You are responsible for keeping your account details safe.
3. Purchases
- When you purchase an item on STAKTT, you are buying directly from the shop owner.
- Each shop sets its own shipping times, return policies, and customer service practices. Please review the shop’s policies before purchasing.
- Payments are processed securely through [Stripe/PayPal/etc.].
4. Refunds & Returns
- Refunds and returns are managed by individual shop owners.
- STAKTT is not responsible for refunds, returns, or exchanges, but we may step in to mediate if necessary.
5. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use STAKTT for fraudulent or illegal activity.
- Harass, abuse, or threaten sellers or other buyers.
- Infringe on the intellectual property of others.
6. Limitation of Liability
- STAKTT provides the platform “as is.”
- We are not liable for issues arising from your transactions with shop owners.
7. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of STAKTT means you accept the new terms.
